The Islands Galore Cruise and Community Event including a celebration of Flora MacDonald's 300th Anniversary is delighted to welcome you to the stunning Outer Hebrides for a cruise in company and shoreside festival.

Gathering at Castlebay on Friday 12th August the event will start at 09:00 on Saturday 13th August when yachts will gather on the west side of Castlebay for a cruise in company to Lochboisdale. The cruise in company will see us heading east into the Sea of the Hebrides before turning North up the coast of Barra. With the sound of Barra to the west it won't be long before South Uist fills the horizon and we will be turning west towards the sheltered marina at Lochboisdale.

Once ashore you are invited to join the festival of events ashore including local food stalls, children's activities, music and dancing to get the afternoon going. Activities continue into the evening including a talk about Flora MacDonald, live music and traditional Scottish Ceilidh.

Sunday afternoon will see some local baking delights alongside a traditional blessing of the boats. With a fisherman's mass and short Ceilidh planned you will have the perfect opportunity to put any new Scottish skills learned on Saturday night to practise before the weekend of celebrations comes to a close.
