Laird Trophy Inter-School Competition
The Laird Trophy is an inter-schools sailing regatta run by Clyde Cruising Club Dinghy Section at Bardowie Loch. It dates back to 1934 when Nigel Laird, the Commodore of the Royal Scottish Motor Yacht Club, donated a trophy for a series of inter-club races.
Teams of two compete in a one-days series of races using the club's fleet of RS Feva dinghies. This year we will have an updated format. After the initial round-robin races, the teams will be split into a Gold Fleet to compete for the Laird Trophy and a Silver Fleet to compete for the Sykes Cup.
