Joining the Clyde Cruising Club

The Clyde Cruising Club (CCC) is a family. A family of people who enjoy or want to enjoy Sailing or activities linked to the water.

We encourage all those who want to sail from all backgrounds and persuasions. Membership is open to anyone.

Why Join?

  • If you are a Cruiser or a Racer (or both) we have plenty for you: Summer Musters, Inshore Races, Offshore Races. Scottish Series and Winter Meets. All in all a chance to share with others in all of these activities.
  • If your interest is in sailing Dinghies, then Bardowie Loch offers the opportunity to sail or learn to sail within easy reach of Glasgow. If you want to sail at Bardowie you need to be a member (and a dinghy Section Member too! We have a great training programme that covers Novices to Racing, and the other courses as well (Powerboat, VHF, First Aid). And we love help to make it happen! (Volunteering!)
  • Do you want to sail? Or do you want someone to sail with you? The CCC Crew matching service is a great opportunity to get afloat or find more crew for an event. It is not exactly Tinder, but you may make friends.
  • Avoid Rocks! The CCC Sailing Directions cover from the Solway to the Shetlands including parts of Ireland and the Hebrides. Members receive a great discount on these essential publications. And, if you are so minded, please help by contributing your observations or help with the compilation of these volumes.
  • Support Sailing and the Marine Environment. The CCC looks to help marine matters by involvement and influence. We will work closely with RYA Scotland in this area. We also look to support sailing opportunities through our Seamanship & Pilotage Trust.
Do you want more information? Fill in the Contact Form on the website and one of our members will call you to answer your questions.
